Not "call for a quote". The common jobs are listed below with what they actually cost, so you can work out roughly what you are in for before you pick up the phone. If a job turns out to need more, we ring you and ask first.

What things cost
Every figure below is an example for a common family car. Put your own in, and keep them current — a price list that is out of date costs you more trust than having no price list at all.
If your job is not on the list
Which happens, because cars are not all the same. Here is what we do instead of inventing a number.
We quote from the registration
Send us the plate and what is wrong and we will price the parts and the labour properly, usually the same day.
The diagnostic hour is capped
We never spend more than an hour looking without calling you. If it needs longer, you decide whether to keep going.
Nothing gets done unasked
If we find something else while the car is up, you get a phone call and a price. We do not add work and tell you afterwards.
You can supply your own parts
We will fit them and charge labour only. We cannot warranty a part we did not buy, and we will say so on the invoice.
How booking works
Tell us the car and the problem
Registration, rough mileage, and what it is doing. A short description of the noise is more useful than you think.
We give you a price and a day
For anything on the list, that price is what you pay. For anything else, a written estimate before you commit.
Drop it before 9am
Key safe by the door if we are not open yet. Courtesy car is free if we need to keep it overnight — ask when you book.
We call before we spend
Always, even for small things. You get the old parts back in a box if you want to see them.
Three of us, one workshop
Dev has been fixing cars for twenty-two years, Marta does the diagnostics and the electrical work nobody else wants, and Col runs the front desk and the courtesy cars. You will speak to one of those three, not a call centre.
We are on the Tollgate industrial estate, second unit past the tyre place. Parking right outside.

Will servicing here affect my warranty?
Not if the car is serviced to the manufacturer's schedule with parts that meet their specification, which is what we do, and we stamp the book. Check your own warranty terms — they vary, and we would rather you checked than took our word for it.
Why is the clutch price only a "from"?
Because the labour varies enormously between cars — some are three hours, some are nine. We confirm the exact figure from your registration before you commit to anything.
Do you work on electric and hybrid cars?
Servicing, brakes, tyres and diagnostics, yes. Anything involving the high-voltage system we will tell you honestly is not us, and point you to someone qualified for it.
Can I wait while it is done?
For an oil change or a tyre, yes — there is a kettle and a decent signal. For anything longer, take the courtesy car.
What if the repair does not fix it?
Bring it back. If we diagnosed it wrong, we put it right and you do not pay twice for the same fault.
